2019 WA Invitational Tournament

2019 marked the first combined Men’s and Women’s WA Invitational tournament by Aussie Prospects. The event was held at the Ray Owen Sports Centre in Perth, Western Australia, to accommodate the large scale of the event. The increased space created a great atmosphere for all athletes to showcase their skills. Although there was no Invitational tournament in Victoria in 2019, a team from Victoria did compete in the WA Invitational.

The tournament format was changed to span three consecutive days, with the Men’s Slam Dunk and Three Point Contests and Women’s Skills Challenge and Three Point Contest taking place on the second night.

Additionally, a Men’s team of high-level Victorian athletes traveled from the east to compete, providing both sides the opportunity to play against unfamiliar opponents.

Uniforms for the tournament, representing our core brand colors, were modeled after NBA teams: Brooklyn Nets (Black), Utah Jazz (Orange), Philadelphia 76ers (Grey), and Denver Nuggets (White).
