About Aussie Prospects

Founded in 2017 by Ash McCormick and Matt Foster, Aussie Prospects provides elite Australian basketball talent opportunities to showcase their talent and gain exposure to the elite USA Basketball System and elite pathway opportunities within Australia.

With extensive experience playing and coaching at an elite level in Australia, the United States, Europe and Asia, our coaches have a passion to develop and provide the next generation of Australian talent with the opportunity to achieve their goals of doing the same.

Aussie Prospects runs tours to the USA and internally within Australia as well as invite only tournaments, camps and elite skill development.

Aussie Prospects has played a key role in assisting our elite players to sign at NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and NJCAA Division I and II programs across the USA. We have also worked with many of our athletes to turn pro here in Australia (NBL) and overseas (Europe, South America and Asia).

Aussie Prospects is a non-profit driven entity, so our community, volunteers, sponsors, partners and values are what drive us.

Our Family

Aussie Prospects is owned and operated by Ash McCormick, his wife Sarah and their two children Zeke and Neve. Together, they strive to make a positive impact within the community.

Standing with them, an incredible community has formed within the program, our “AP Family”. None of our tours, camps or tournaments would happen without the selfless and generous support of our AP Family who volunteer and play a pivotal role in providing these opportunities for our athletes.

At the core of Aussie Prospects, you will find something of extremely high-worth.

Our logo, formed within the shape of a diamond, represents Excellence, Toughness and Rarity. What we seek within our program is not just basketball and athletic talent, but a combination of these attributes coupled with high personal character and those looking to make a positive impact with their gifts. This combination is rare, yes, but one highly sought after by elite basketball coaches across the globe.

We know that to unearth a diamond, it takes hard work, digging deep into the earth and searching. The land, our earth and country are represented by the colour orange within our branding along with the outline of Australia within the basketball in the centre of our logo. The elements of hard work, digging and ‘prospecting’ are represented by the pickaxes in our logo. Our coaches go to great lengths to scour the land, digging and searching to identify rare talent.

Once located, the diamond requires refinement, cutting and polishing for it to reach its peak value. We work with our players, not just on their basketball skill and talent, but on who they are as people, how they communicate and the impact they have on those around them.

When someone sees a diamond on display, in its full beauty, it is something to be admired and desired. When college and/or pro coaches see our Aussie Prospects players and staff on display, we strive for the same response. We take great pride in seeing our players grow and develop and reach their full potential. We celebrate their successes both on and off the court and highlight those achievements to inspire the next generation of Aussie Prospects who want to achieve excellence.
