Showcasing Australian Basketball Talent

Eltham Dandenong Tour 2023

The Eltham Dandenong Tournament has provided our WA players with the opportunity to compete against some of the top club teams in the country in a high level competition every January. This is a unique opportunity for our WA athletes who often don’t get many opportunities to play against elite athletes from other states. After a 2 year pause due to the COVID pandemic, we will be returning to Melbourne to compete in this highly regarded tournament in January 2023. Due to the volume of teams that compete in this tournament and the varying levels of talent, the Eltham Dandenong Tournament divides its competition into various brackets, with the Championship Division being reserved for the top teams in the country. When we travel for this tournament we will only enter our teams into the Championship Division and keep our rosters to elite talent only. This tournament is treated as a precursor to the USA Tour and is structured in a very similar manner. From how we travel, where we stay, how we prepare and how we form our rosters.

We have had a very strong history of success at the Eltham Dandenong Tournament with the majority of our teams making the playoff component of the tournament. Our U21 Women have shown our most success winning the tournament in 2019 and runners up in 2020. We typically take players who have represented WA at national competition or who have demonstrated an elite level of talent in WABL Championship Division.
